Apptimate Academy: build your own apps with AI, no programming experience needed

Since 1 September 2026, apptimate.academy has been live: our own platform with practical online courses. It is not a side step but the logical continuation of something we have been doing for years. We supervise interns, coach programmers and train career changers; until now that knowledge only existed in a calendar, not in a form you can open on an ordinary Tuesday evening.

The most striking thing about the range is who it is for. The main track — learn to build apps with AI, from beginner to professional — is written explicitly for people who have never programmed. Not as a watered-down developer course, but because with capable AI assistants that route has genuinely become passable for someone without an IT background.

Learning path: Building apps with AI

Five successive levels, from your first working app to a system you would be comfortable putting into production:

• Vibe Coding for Beginners — build your own apps with Claude, without ever having programmed (approx. 6 to 8 hours).
• Vibe Coding 201 — Databases, APIs and authentication — from a standalone app to something that remembers data and recognises users.
• Vibe Coding 301 — AI agents, automation and workflows — software that carries out tasks on its own.
• Vibe Coding 401 — Building SaaS, deployment and business models — from a personal tool to an online product.
• Vibe Coding Expert — Architecture, security, testing and scalability — from “it works” to professional, reliable and scalable.

The follow-up courses run about 8 to 10 hours each. Everything runs in the browser, so there is nothing to install, and you work at your own pace. Each completed course comes with a certificate.

Learning path: Staying safe online — for everyone, not just IT

Two short courses aimed explicitly at all staff:

• Recognising and countering phishing — practical, and geared to the AI era, in which fake messages can no longer be spotted by their clumsy language (approx. 2 hours).
• Passwords, 2FA and account security — locking accounts down properly without daily work grinding to a halt (approx. 3 hours).

In practice these two subjects largely determine whether an organisation has an incident or not — and they rarely sit with the IT department alone.

Standalone courses

Alongside those are four courses that stand on their own, each about 3 to 5 hours: Databases and SQL (from the basics to writing your own queries), Git and version control (the end of quote-final-v3-really-final), Working with APIs (getting systems to exchange data) and UX and design — why an app works and yet does not feel right.

Alongside the knowledge base, not instead of it

Our knowledge base stays exactly where it is and remains freely accessible: short answers to specific questions. The Academy goes a step further — coherent material that lets you genuinely master a subject. If you would rather have tailored guidance, coaching and in-company training remain available as before.
